At the end of April a group from Burgas Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited Kesan region, Turkey under project "From the Black Sea to the Aegean - new opportunities for tourism and accompanying businesses." Beside the project team, representatives of tour operator agencies in Burgas also participated. They had been exploring the region for three days identifying suitable sights and attractions to include in their new destinations. Bulgarian guests were welcomed in the small tourist town of Erikli, situated on the Aegean sea coast. There they got acquainted with the possibilities of accommodation and catering for tourists and established contacts with colleagues from the Turkish side. Our partners from CCI Keshan showed Burgas tour operators several sights in the region of interest.

The guests visited national park lake Gala - very beautiful and interesting place for nature lovers and bird experts. The area is under the protection of the International Convention for the Protection of wetlands of Europe and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey.

The next sight of the tour was the town of Enez. The town, situated on the southeastern coast of the Maritsa River, where her waters meet the Aegean Sea, is a small, unknown place with an incredible history and archaeological discoveries. One of the most impressive places there is the old Byzantine fortress and the ancient basilica, which testify to the ancient history of this place.

Another interesting landmark was Saros Bay. This is one of the few regions in the world to clean itself. Bulgarian participants had the opportunity to make a boat trip and explore at close range interesting rock formations and lovely clean water. Of course, we should note also the exclusive features that the bay offers for the development of underwater tourism - occupation, which in recent years, has been gaining more and more fans.
